Mount Kilimanjaro
Located in Tanzania, East Africa, is the highest mountain in Africa with an elevation of 19,341 feet (5,895 meters). It is the largest free-standing mountain in the world and is one of the seven summits.
Lemosho Route
The Lemosho Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the West, and starts in pristine forest before crossing the vast Shira plateau
The route traverses around Kilimanjaro’s’ southern side, providing a varied trek with changing scenery & views. Kilimanjaro’s Lemosho Route itinerary includes the Barranco Wall

Day 3 – Saturday 28th June
TREKKING DAY 1 MT MKUBWA - 2780M - 4 HRS. TREKKING, 7KM
Day 4 – Sunday 29th June
TREKKING DAY 2 SHIRA CAMP - 3505M - 9-11 HRS. TREKKING, 17KM
Now reaching 4,600m, the team is steadily acclimatising to the altitude, and spirits remain high as the climb continues
Day 5 – Monday 30th June
TREKKING DAY 3 BARRANCO CAMP - 3972M - 6-7 HRS. TREKKING, 9KM
Day 6 – Tuesday 1st July
TREKKING DAY 4 KARANGA CAMP - 4002M - 5-6 HRS. TREKKING, 6KM
At sunrise where our camp overlooks a sea of clouds. A moment of calm after a 4-hour morning hike, before the midnight summit

We can just about make out the route we’ll be taking, barely visible, enough to know it won’t be easy
